Winter Skincare Routine

Cleanse off Oil, moisturizer, hydrating cleanser, dry skin

In the winter my skin can be really dry and sensitive.  I usually substitute my run of the mill skincare with products that are more gentle on my skin and offers more moisture.

My Morning Routine is pretty simple and straight forward.  Usually I am running behind so I may rush through or skip some steps but this is what I use most days.

Washing my face in the winter usually leaves my skin feeling tight and looking really red.  I’ve found that the Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser does a great job at not only leaving my skin feeling clean but also not leaving it tight or red.  The pump container is really convenient and the amount you get for your money is a good value.

After I clean my face, I use the Origins A Perfect World Age Defense Skin Guardian.  I feel like this product is a primer/serum.  The formula feels like a gel/cream and it is light on the skin.  After a few days of using it I noticed a difference in the texture of my skin.

To moisturize, I use the Origins a Perfect World SPF 25.  A little goes a long way with this moisturizer.  Although it take a few seconds for it to sink in, it feel heavy on the skin.   It also has a wonderful citrus scent that is very refreshing.

Currently Origins Eye Doctor has been my go to eye cream.  This is yet another Origins product that moisturizes the skin while feeling really lightweight.  I usually struggle to finish eye creams but I have been working through this one fairly quickly.

My Evening Routine is pretty much the same as the morning with the exception of removing my makeup and using a different moisturizer.

To take off my makeup I use the Mac Cleanse Off Oil. I have gone through multiple bottles of this stuff and I love using it all long.  It takes of foundation and eye makeup easily.

After I take off my makeup I use the same moisturizer, serum, and eye cream as I did in the morning.

Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins is my final step in my evening skincare routine.  I like to use a more moisturizing cream at night and this does an amazing job.  It has a citrusy scent that isn’t as strong as the Perfect World moisturizer.

What new products have you tried or are interested in trying out?
