Everyday Liquid Liner

liquid liner, Lorac, PRO, everyday makeup, FOTD

In the past, liquid liner was one of the beauty products I avoided like the plague.  After a horrible first attempt left me looking like a deranged Cleopatra, I swore off liquid liner all together.  However after building up my lining skills with gel liner and then falling in love with the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper, I started to warm up to liquid liners.  The only real issue I had with the Tattoo Liner was that it only came in the shade Trooper, which is a black that I felt was too stark for everyday wear.

Recently I was looking for a softer alternative to my favorite Kat von D liner in Trooper and I came across the Lorac Front of the Line Liquid Eye Liners.  The Lorac liners come in 4 shades: Black, Brown, Navy, and Charcoal.   I decided to pick up the shade Brown because I thought it would be the one I got the most use in my morning routine.

The brown shade is perfect for everyday.  It’s not too dark or too light.  Because it is a much more natural shade than black, I find that it’s more foolproof in the morning.  If I put on a bit too much or more on one eye, it isn’t as noticeable.  That is really huge deal in the morning when I’m rushing to get ready.

The packaging is really sleek and it feels really well made.  The brush tip provides really precise lining that makes it easy to do a thin line when I want a minimal makeup look or a thicker wing when I want a softer yet more defined eye look.  Really the brush tip makes all the difference.  It’s what I loved the most about the Kat Von D liner and what I love about the Locac liner.

I really want to try the other shades but at $22 each, I want to make sure I get a shade I will love almost as much as the brown.  I’m really tempted to get Navy because I think it will make my blue-green eyes really pop.

Have you tried the Locac Liquid Liners?

  8. I haven't tried this liquid liner, but it sure looks amazing. The price is quite big, so I would really have to make sure the formula and shade is right for me :)

    1. Luckily there are testers at the Ulta I got this one from so I was able to swatch it. It is pricey but I have yet to find a drugstore alternative to the brush tip. It makes the application process so much easier.
