A Savior for Dry Winter Lips

I’ve heard so many great things about Nuxe, especially their body oil and lip balm.  A few months back I found that Nuxe was available in my town (well a limited selection) so I decided to pick up the Reve De Miel.  I’ve used it consistently for a few months so I thought it was about time I let you know my thoughts.

This is a pricey lip balm.  I would say it borders on luxury at around $20 a jar.  I found mine at a Target near my work but I’ve noticed that other Targets don’t carry it so you may have to check if your local Target carries Nuxe.  Feel Unique also carries a wider range of Nuxe and they sometimes run discounts.

Another thing to consider is that its really thick.  I dab my finger into the product and that is enough for my lips.  Although you could get away with using a tiny bit throughout the day, I think it’s the perfect deep conditioning balm to use at night and it’s become a staple in my nighttime routine.  As the weather has gotten colder and the air has gotten drier, this has left my lips smooth and chap free.

The scent is subtle with a hint of citrus that adds to the luxurious feel without being too overwhelming.  I know it sounds strange because citrus usually invigorates you and is normally great to start off your day but this kind of fresh citrus really relaxes and prepares you for a peaceful slumber.

The packaging is nice but not too fancy.  I really like the thick glass jar and I can attest that it can survive a few drops.

Overall its a great lip balm and I can see why it has garnered such a large amount of positive buzz.

Have you tried anything from Nuxe?

  6. Ahh I'm from the UK but will keep an eye for this brand...my trusty Vaseline pot seems to be letting my down lately in terms of keeping my lips hydrated, I've migrated to the Carmex pot lol.

    1. Ugh it's hard to find a good lip balm, especially in the colder months. If you can, you should try this one out. Good luck getting those lips hydrated!

  7. What a fabulous product!!! I am about to endure my first "winter" ever in NYC. Spending all my prior life in CA we did not have these "seasons!!" so this is something of special importance to me as I am seeing my skin and lips be affected in ways they have never been before. Thanks for the tips so very helpful :)

  12. I absolutely LOVE this lip balm, I actually had to get up and take it off my night stand to use it while reading this! Haha

I agree, it is quite a luxury item, but for the actual amount you use every time...I think it would last me all year!
