October Favorites

I hope everyone had a spooktacular Halloween!  This year I binged watched my favorite childhood Halloween movies (Hocus Pocus and Casper) and overindulged in all of the candy.  Anyone else prefer to chill at home on Halloween rather than going out to crowed parties?  Ok, now back to the favorites.  This month I’ve been sticking to my usual beauty and skincare routine so I don’t have too many favorites.  Here are a few new finds that I thought were worthy of favorites status.

L’oreal Voluminous Superstar Mascara
I’ve gone through so many mascaras recently trying to find one that would give me volume and length.  This is one of the few I’ve tried that offers both.  One side is a primer that really helps add lengh and the other side is curved and it’s great for giving lases an extra umph.  If I want a really intense mascara, I combine the primer with the power volume mascara.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Prague
I’ve red so many rave reviews about these lip stains that I had to try them out.  I’ve accumulated a few but Prague is the perfect berry shade that is just dark enough to get you in the fall feeling without being too vampy for the office.  These feel so comfortable on the lips and they last well into lunch before I need to reapply.  Double win!

Body Works Perfect Autumn Day Body Spray
I’m really falling back in love with BB&W scents lately and this is definately up there with my favorite scent this season.  To put it simply, this smells like the outdoors during fall.  It’s earthy and slightly musky.  I can’t get enough of this scent!  I’m tempted to stock up but i’m in the process of downsizing collection so I will just enjoy this until it runs out.

MAC Mineralized Concealer in NW20
Recently I’ve struggled to keep my concealer from creasing under my eyes.  After mentioning my issue with a makeup artist at my local MAC counter, they suggested I try the Mineralized concealer.  It sets to a powder finish, so I don’t have to worry about creasing.  So far it’s proven to be a dark circle slayer all while keeping the creasing at bay!  This little guy is an early morning life saver!

  3. Just like you, I much prefer chilling at home than going out to parties! I spent my Halloween curled up with a large Pizza Hut, enjoying a film night with my boyfriend. :) <3 Great picks, of course - I'm loving the look of that NYX lip cream. :) <3 And I've never heard of that Autumn Day body spray, but it sounds absolutely enchanting and perfect for fall. :) Thank you for sharing! x
