Origins Face Masks

If you haven't noticed by now, l love Origins skincare.  It's not only apart of my everyday skincare, but I love the face masks from origin as well.  I almost included these in my Winter Skincare Routine but I thought they deserved their own post.

Clear Improvements Active Charcoal Mask

This was the first mask I bought from Origins and it has taken me ages to use it up.  I use it as a deep cleaning treatment, mostly when I start to see my skin breaking out or not looking as smooth as I would like.  It does a great job at clearing out pores and preping the skin for moisturizer.

Since it can be a bit drying on the skin, I use it about once a week in the summer and maybe once every other week in the winter.  Depending on how much clarifying my skin needs, I either put it over my entire face or use it in targeted areas (usually my forehead and nose).  Once I apply it, I usually leave it on for about 15 min or until it dries.  Then I remove it with a warm facecloth.  A little goes a long way with this mask so I don't see myself running out of it anytime soon.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

This is a relatively new addition to my collection.  I have been eying this mask since last winter and finally decided to give it a try earlier this year.  It does an awesome job at hydrating the skin and has really helped bring back the glow to my skin that I usually don't see until Spring.

Despite what the name suggests, I don't actually leave this mask on overnight.  After I get out of the shower, I put this mask on and leave it for about 15-20 min.  Then I take off the excess with a facecloth and follow my normal nighttime skincare routine.

What face masks do you love or have been wanting to try?

  1. The Drink Up Mask is my absolute favorite, especially in the winter! The charcoal is too drying for my already dry skin, but I've heard it does wonders :)
    Great review!

  6. Luckily I find a review of the origins face masks, I have the green one for intensive hydration, but as you say it hydrates and does not nourish, I want an exfoliant that gives me luminosity and another to clean the pores. Dissertation Proposal Writing Services
