August Favorites

Bath and Body Works, cool melon kiwi, La Roche Posay, micellar water, Urban Decay, setting spray
I didn’t have many favorites this month but the products I enjoyed were pretty awesome.   This months favorites only has four products but I think there are some definite HG contenders in the mix.

Bath and Body Works Cooling Gel Lotion in Cool Melon Kiwi
I wasn’t planning on purchasing this product and I didn’t even know it was available until I happened upon it while browsing Bath and Body Works.  It's a gel moisturizer that provides a light layer of moisture while also giving a cooling sensation.  I love how refreshing this is on the skin.  The scent is pretty nice but I wish it came in some of the older fragrances from B&BW.  Am I the only one who thinks the newer fragrances they’ve come out with just aren’t as good as their classic fragrances?

La Roche Posay Micellar Water
After watching a more than a few YouTubers rave about this product, I decided to see what all the fuss is about.  It’s pretty awesome at removing face makeup and non-waterproof mascaras.  I don’t know a micellar water that can tackle waterproof mascara so I guess I can’t fault it on that count.  It’s a bit pricey for what it is and I don’t see a dramatic difference in how my skin feels afterwards.  I may do a review in the winter to let you know how it reacts to my super sensitive skin.

La Roche Posay Hydrophase UV Intense Moisturizer with SPF 20
HG morning moisturizer at last I have found you!  This stuff is pretty amazing.  It feels light and cooling on the skin, doesn’t leave a white cast, and it calms down morning redness I often get after washing my face.  It feels so great on the skin, I don’t even miss the citrus scent from my Origins moisturizer.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
Finally a setting spray that doesn’t make me feel like I’m at a water park.  It has a super fine mist that helps my makeup stay in place all day.  I did a review here if you want to know more about it.  I’ve been using it for over a month now so I think it’s safe to say this is my new HG setting spray!

What were you loving in August?
